Nathalie Ouimet is Vice-President, Operations at Montréal InVivo, an economic development organization which aims to create a business environment conducive to the growth of businesses and organizations in the field of life sciences and health technologies of the Greater Montréal area. Ms. Ouimet is more specifically responsible for files related to innovation, including projects on research and innovation and on the integration of innovation. To improve the competitiveness of the life sciences sector, Ms. Ouimet develops structuring projects in concertation with the strategic parties concerned, from the identified needs to the financing and implementation in the setting. From 2003 to 2009, she was Director of Technological Transfer at VAL-CHUM, where she helped researchers in the hospital network to highlight their discoveries, identify potential licensees, negotiate agreements and manage the intellectual property portfolio. Finally, Ms. Ouimet was a research associate for Merck in the field of medicinal chemistry. She holds an MBA in Strategy from HEC Montréal (2001), a Master’s degree in organic chemistry from Université de Sherbrooke (1989) and a Bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Université de Montréal (1987).
