Christine Martens holds a Master’s degree in biochemistry and a certificate in business law from Université de Montréal. She also holds an MBA from ÉSG. Ms. Martens began her career as a research associate at Boehringer Ingelheim (BI) by participating in the discovery of new therapeutic targets against HIV. She then worked as a specialist in scientific information where she did patentability research freedom to operate assessments, validation and diligence studies in order to support the departments of patents, business intelligence and management in their decision making. In 2012 she became Program Manager at Génome Québec where she was responsible for the budgeting and scientific monitoring of a project portfolio worth over 50 million dollars. In 2016, she joined the Aligo team. Ms. Martens has been part of the Executive of the Montréal chapter of “Licensing Executive Society” since 2014.
